Top 10 WordPress Plugins

I wanted to talk today about the Top 10 WordPress plugins I recommend. There is no order of importance. Using WordPress plugins extend your blogs capabilities and enhance the appearance. With that said here is what I recommend:

1. Addicted To Live Search – Adds live search with ajax to the default search box. As visitors type words into your WordPress site’s search box, the plugin continually queries WordPress, looking for search results that match what the user has typed so far.

2. Akismet – This plugin keeps your site protected from SPAM.

3. Atom Default Feed – Used for Really Simple Syndication (RSS). This technology is used for automatically bringing content from your website to the user’s PC.

4. Awebwer Web Forms – This is the software I recommend using for collecting email addresses and distrbuting newsletters. This is for permission based marketing software.

5. Broken Link Checker – This plugin navigates through your entire site verifying if the hyperlinks you created in are up to date. If there are broken links a list is generated allowing you to fix them. This aids in your SEO efforts because Google frowns upon broken links.

6. Jetpack by WordPress.com – This plugin brings the power of the WordPress.com cloud to your self-hosted WordPress. Jetpack enables you to connect your blog to a WordPress.com account to use the powerful features normally only available to WordPress.com users.

7. Pretty Link Lite – Shrink, track and share any URL on the Internet from your WordPress website.

8. ShareThis – Lets your visitors share a post/page with others. Supports e-mail and posting to social bookmarking sites. This is an excellent plugin to have in every post because if the website reader likes what they are reading they can share it on just about any social media platform that is available.

9. Ultimate Google Analytics – Enable Google Analytics on your blog. It has options to also track external links, mailto links and links to downloads on your own site.

10. WordPress Database Backup – This plugin is an on demand backup of your WordPress database. You also have the ability to schedule backups and have them emailed to you. This is an extremely valuable plugin to have.

Well there you have it! These are the top 10 WordPress plugins I recommend. Do you have a WordPress plugin recommendation? If so leave your comment in the box below.

Awesome article, thanks for that. Might I question the blogger where he or she obtained his style and design? Or does it come default at this web log? Continue publishing and thanks once again for your time and hard work.
